Saliva does not contain amylase until babies are two months old. how could this affect an infants digestive requirements

Respuesta :

Salivary amylase is an enzyme that catalyses starch to sugar. This allows the breakdown of the bigger particles of food into smaller ones for easy digestion. Because the infants do not have these substance in their body, they are not allowed to take in solid food. Hence, they rely on milk.
