The lenght of the base of an isosceles triangle is x. The lenght of a leg is 2x-5. The perimeter of the triangle is 20. Find x.

20 = × + 2 (2x-5)
20 = x + 4x - 10
20 = 5x - 10 add 10 to both sides
30 = 5x divide both sides by 5
6 = x
1 side is 6 the other 2 sides are 7
