What is the length of the opposite side of a right triangle if the hypotenuse is 52 m long and the angle is 12°

Respuesta :

AL2006

The sine of an angle is (opposite side) / (hypotenuse) .

Multiply each side by (hypotenuse, and you have

Opposite side = (hypotenuse) x (sine of the angle) .

Sin(12°) = 0.2079...

                     Opposite side = (52 m) x (0.2079)

                                           =  10.81 meters  .
