# 5 – Dry Patches After Birth
It’s not unusual for a newborn to have dry patches of skin after birth.
These areas are most often around the hands and ankles.
The skin may appear flaky or actually peel.
# 4 – Baths
Babies have sensitive, delicate skin.
It’s not unusual for your baby’s skin to dry out with repeated baths.
Remember, your baby does not need a daily bath. If you notice that your baby’s skin drying out, apply a very thin layer of organic baby lotion.
#3 – Diaper Rash
Some babies are more prone to diaper rash than others.
Make sure you wipe baby thoroughly after their diaper becomes wet or soiled.
If you notice redness, apply diaper cream immediately.
These rashes can become worse if not treated immediately.
# 2 – Prevent Moisture Loss
Organic baby lotion provides a barrier that not only serves to protect the skin but helps keep the skin hydrated.
# 1 – Who Doesn’t Love A Massage?
Giving your baby a massage builds the bond between parent and child.
Your baby will get used to the feel of your touch and the sound of your voice.
Massaging your baby is an excellent way to soothe a cranky or startled baby. It’s also a great way to end their day after a bath.
